Terry Gilliam comedy from 1988 starring John Neville, Robin Williams, Eric Idle.

Muchausen ( a teller of tale tales) relates his adventures that may be true, may be fantasies. Doesn't matter. Go along for the ride. Very imaginative and funny.

Look for Robin Williams as a manic King of the Moon...and a small bit part from a young Uma Thurman.

Gilliam's films are always a treat.

Tremors

Kevin Bacon, Fred Ward, Michael Gross, and Reba McEntire star in this 1990 film from Ron Underwood.

Did you love all those monster flicks from the fifties? This is a throwback to those films.

Two not too swift handymen in a small desert town come to the realization that giant underground worms are threatening their town and their lives. Partly sci-fi, partly a monster movie, Remors is above all a fun romp that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Look for hysterically funny characters created by Gross and Reba as a pair of married survivalists who are prepared for anything that comes their way.

Spawned a number of sequels and a TV show. The second film wasn't bad, but they got less interesting as they went on...and on. But this one is a gem.

1938 George Cukor comedy starring Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn was a follow-up to the success Grant and Hepburn had with Bringing Up Baby.

Free-thinking, happy-go-lucky Grant is enaged to an heiress but when he begins to question the meaning of his life he finds he has much more in common with her spirited sister (Hepburn).

Smart writing, great cast, and very funny screwball comedy.

The Mouse That Roared

1959 film directed by Jack Arnold starring Peter Sellers, Peter Sellers, and Peter Sellers (he plays three roles).

Satire about a small European country that is running into financial difficulties and decides to invade the United States so that it can lose the war and collect American aid money. Their invasion force is a small group of stalwart archers who wander about New York.

Hilariously funny.
